Inspiration from a Tree

The Master made so many things

For human eyes to see;

The peaceful stream, the birds in flight,

And this majestic tree!

I look upon its beauty ,

With spreading branches wide.

Its shelters little ones who play,

And squirrels that nest inside.

This tree tells me a story;

Its Maker lives on High.

The limbs reach upward;

They point me to the sky.

So when my soul is weary,

And grief is pressing in,

I reach my hand toward Heaven—

God’s peace is born within.

His Special Comfort

My heart is broken.

I lost my loved one today;

The tears are flowing.

He will live someday,

When Jesus calls him to life

With the last trumpet!

Now I am grieving;

So God wipes my tears with care,

As He takes my hand.

He touches in love;

And weeps with me ev’ry day.

I feel His support.

God writes the music;

While my heart-strings echo hope,

While comes from His Word.

The Reunion Day

Will complete His saving plan.

I am trusting Him!

The Forest of Difficulty

I was lost in a forest of doubt and despair.

And I wondered why Jesus had left me out there?

My mind was disturbed with confusion and doubt;

O why doesn’t someone reveal the way out!

O Jesus, I need You to lead me today.

You must travel beside me and guide me all the way.

 There’s never a time I can go it alone;

But as You stay with me, and walk with me, we’ll safely reach home!

There are days when I pray for those trials to cease.

But it seems that The Lord only brings brief release.

And each time that I feel delivered from pain,

The confusing spirit is with me again.

O Jesus, I need You to lead me today.

You must travel beside me and guide me alway.

There’s never a time I can go it alone;

But as You stay with me, and walk with me, we’ll safely reach home!
