MY HAND IN HIS

Dear Lord,

I am thankful for all the things

In this old world that are still honest,

And decent, and unselfish,

And beautiful, and satisfying.

Thank you for the warmth of a child’s smile;

For the fresh scent of a budding rose;

For the clear whisper of God on a starry night;

For a new view of things at the break of day.

Hope From The Healer

You can find new hope in the Healer today;

It is found when you look to the Lord.

And never a soul is turned away,

Though gold they cannot afford.

The child within was trapped inside

His heart, and no one did care.

The cry continued for peace of mind;

He had searched in vain everywhere.

He felt that day like giving up,

His self-esteem was gone!

The doubts, the fears, and other foes

Had taken away life’s song.

He felt the pain of loneliness;

Other folk did not understand.

But The Savior promised special HOPE,

For all who will trust His hand.

Then he discovered it safe to give God the doubts,

‘Cause his hurt would not come to an end.

We too must believe God has offered to be

Our closest earthly friend.

 I can see right now God has changed his life;

He finds meaning for each new day.

Your own sad heart can find in God,

This HOPE He offers today!

HIS NEW CREATION

The Master toils so patiently,

While He fashions day by day

A form with potential beauty,

From this bulky lump of clay.

I can tell by His touch that He loves me,

Though my form is marred with sin.

And I know that today He will lead me,

When my stubborn self gives in.

I find Him at work by the furnace;

He is testing with fire to see,

If my faith will increase or diminish,

As the pressure is brought against me.

What a wonder that Jesus can shape me!

I will never fathom His power.

But each time I submit to His wisdom,

He is teaching me hour by hour.

So whenever I feel discouraged,

And it seems that my life is in vain;

I give in to The Master who formed me,

For He longs to work with me again!

His Miracle for Blindness

The blind man hoped for a miracle;

And Jesus’ power was soon to be felt.

No other could solve his predicament;

But The Master caused his doubt to melt!

His life was changed, his hope restored;

His vision broke through this day brand new.

Christ had performed the miracle;

He saw what The Savior can do.

A similar outcome takes place today,

For some who’ve walked through a long dark night.

Nothing has happened to change the scene;

They’ve needed for sure God’s spiritual light.

So The Master offers His help to us;

His healing can cure the BLINDNESS of sin.

Those who search for solutions this day,

Will see Him creating His Light within.

Spiritual blindness has fogged your sight;

You were blind today, but now you can see!

A special prayer you will offer with thanks

“O Jesus, You’ve given Your Light to me!”

God’s Signature…after the storm

The storm is passed.

Its icy fingers made the world

A fairyland of peace and white.

All nature is serene and still.

Within my soul the echo now—

His peace, to take me through that night.

I ‘d fought the storm, my plans must win!

It swept me from my feet,

And brought me to my knees.

What hand could move with awesome pow’r,

Yet gentle with its sweep,

To calm life’s troubled seas?

This stroke of God

Has formed for me a new and better world,

       From drab and scarred debris.

His touch has freed my soul from guilt,

To bring a new clean slate,

For now—and for eternity!

At Daybreak

There is peace in meeting Jesus,

As you launch out on your day.

There is strength for ev’ry trial

You encounter on your way.

Oh how comforting His presence;

Just to know that He is there.

When the day seems long and weary,

He will shoulder every care.

Others face the flood of tensions

Men are facing everywhere,

Without any help from heaven,

‘cause they never say a prayer.

Why not take the time each morning,

To connect with heaven’s power.

You will gain consistent vict’ry,

Find contentment every hour!
